Governments Fail Charities Run Out
But Communities Last

No one in the wealthiest nation on Earth should go without food, clean water, or a roof over their head. Yet systems keep failing.

Better World Coalition supplies the tools needed to build communities where everyone has enough.

47 Million Americans Face
Food Insecurity

Government programs and food banks
can't keep up. Families go hungry
in the wealthiest nation on earth.

2 Million Americans Lack Access
To Clean Water

A basic necessity.
But when supply chains fail or disasters hit,
clean water becomes survival.

Systems Keep Failing

When climate disasters hit, when supply chains break, when economies collapse—the most vulnerable suffer first.

With accelerating climate change
and increasing economic insecurity
these deprivations will only get worse

How We Help

The Daily Bread Project

We equip families with practical
food and water security tools—community gardens, filtration skills,
neighborhood networks that last.

Youth Education Programs

Workshops teaching young people
climate solutions,
food security skills, and community organizing—giving them purpose and agency.

Community Support

Help neighborhoods with resources and support
to create mutual aid networks
that catch people before they
fall through the cracks.

Our Promise

We don't believe in dependence on distant systems or charitable relief as a long-term solution. We believe in equipping communities to feed, sustain, and support themselves—neighborhood by neighborhood, household by household.

You're not just donating to another charity. You're investing in communities that will still be thriving when government programs fail and charity funds run out.

Our Plan

Step 1: You Support the Work

Your monthly donation funds workshop materials, community garden resources, and education programs across Oregon communities.

Step 2: We Equip Communities

Families learn to grow food and produce clean water. Youth gain practical skills and purpose. Neighborhoods build mutual aid networks.

Step 3: No One Gets Left Behind

Strong communities catch people before they fall. When crisis hits, neighbors look out for each other. Everyone has enough.

We Understand Your Frustration

You want to help your neighbors. You see people struggling. You know things are getting worse. But you're tired of donating to programs that don't actually solve anything.

You can trust us, we've been there. Our founder Josh spent a year homeless after an unexpected divorce and layoff. He was lucky—a local charity caught him. But he saw the families who weren't as lucky.

That's when he realized: we can't keep waiting for broken systems to save us.

We spent years researching what it would actually take to build communities where people don't fall through the cracks. Not theories. Not wishful thinking. Practical solutions that everyday families can implement in their own neighborhoods.

That research became a book. And that book became Better World Coalition.

About the Organization

We believe 47 million Americans facing food insecurity is not inevitable.

We believe 650,000 people experiencing homelessness is not acceptable.

And we believe that when you give communities the right tools, knowledge, and connections, they can build something no institution can replace:
a network of people who genuinely take care of each other.
